Death Toll Rises on Ekbu IX

Over 1,113 dead and even more wounded as conflict continues on Ekbu IX. Forces of NeoCat and Pawcatkittyness have engaged the forces of Pirates in numerous attacks and counter attacks. The conflict that began 06/24/2013 at 16:30 has seen the loss of 13 units on both sides of the battle.

Sources indicate that no end to the conflict can be determined at this time. Contacts within the GTC have indicated that trade routes remain unaffected from the hostilities.

The citizens of the empires involved in the war are victims as 446,080 homes have been destroyed and 108,010 jobs have been removed from the economy due to lost factories and other facilities.
