Planetary Battle Begins on Menpel IX

A large battle began today at 07/12/2014 at 15:37 on Menpel IX. Forces of Monk engaged contingents belonging to Lightforger in a violent clash of explosions and weapons fire.

Sources indicate that no end to the conflict can be determined at this time. The battle, in its early stages, has already claimed 471 lives and has seen 2 military assets left destroyed. The citizens of Menpel IX are concerned of the conflict. No reports of civilian casualties have been made, however, at this time it is too early to determine whether the conflict will claim lives of the citizens of Menpel IX.
